Atrocity Prevention during the Latin American Migration Crisis - El Salvador

Since 2019, the AIPG has been actively developing prevention projects that address the unique challenges individuals face in human mobility situations across Latin America, including countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil. The positive outcomes and effective methodologies derived from these projects have led the AIPG to prioritize expanding its work to other countries in the region, including El Salvador.

This expansion aims to facilitate the creation of tailored mass atrocity prevention tools specifically designed to address the context of El Salvador. In conjunction with this goal, a comprehensive training program has been developed to complement the proposed initiatives. The development of mass atrocity prevention tools and the implementation of the training program have been accomplished through a collaborative partnership between the AIPG and the Office of the Ombudsperson of El Salvador (PDDH).
