Online Courses

Our online courses offer high-quality, low cost training for government officials, civil society actors, and others interested in learning about how they can contribute to atrocity prevention. Designed to be both practical and accessible, our courses equip participants with tools and strategies on how to apply an atrocity prevention lens to their everyday work, supporting a whole-of-society approach to reducing risk and building resilience.

Our introductory course, Foundations in Mass Atrocity Prevention, provides baseline knowledge on the concepts of genocide, mass atrocities, and prevention, as well as strategies for prevention before, during, and after violence. We also offer a range of advanced courses on regionally pressing issues that increase the risk for identity-based violence, such as: conflict-related atrocity crimes, gender-based violence, electoral violence, and the protection of marginalized groups such as LGBTQ+ individuals, indigenous peoples, and migrants, among others. We currently offer courses in eight different languages. Explore our course offerings by language below to see the types of courses we offer in each language.
